Many people are confused after reading Romans 1:16-18, as the first part tells us that we were made righteous, but the last part seems to condemn us! Let’s look at what the Bible says about the wrath of God.

We have a better covenant with better promises (Hebrews 8:6)! We are living under the New Covenant! So how can we be free from the influence of the Old Covenant in our lives?
The Old Covenant (The Law) was written on stone, but the New Covenant was written on the heart of flesh.
The Cross of Jesus Christ stands between the two covenants. Everything from the Old Covenant that can be applied to our lives, must first pass through The Cross – just like water passes through a filter – everything that is negative out of the Old Covenant, stopped at The Cross, and everything that is positive, comes out on the other side.

How are you going to deal with all of your sins?!
We need to establish our hearts in the things of Christ. Even if we believe everything that Jesus did on the cross, if we have a Sin Conscience, we won’t believe that the promises of God are for us.

Do you know the love of our Father?
The Bible says that the Law was given by Moses, and that grace and truth came through Jesus Christ. We cannot live this Christian life through our own ability. There was only one man that walked this earth that was perfect, and His name is Jesus Christ.

Striving? Frustrated? Not happy? No joy?
How do you live up to a standard of righteousness? How do you work or perform to be righteous?
You cannot work for righteousness. You cannot try hard enough to live up to a righteous standard. It is a free gift that you receive in Jesus Christ the day you become born again.

What must I do to be saved? How do I qualify myself? How do I keep my salvation?
The truth is God by His Grace came and made you whole. Through the finished work of Jesus Christ, Jesus came and removed everything that could separate man from God. The born again experience takes place when we respond by faith to the Good News of Jesus Christ.
